After several delays, Ty Dolla $ign and Jeremih have dropped off their joint album Mih-Ty. Talented producer Hitmaka teased the project late in 2017, and later promised the album would drop during NBA All-Star Weekend. When that didn’t happen, Ty Dolla $ign assured fans that the project would be dropping soon, which is a word that makes anticipating fans cringe.
At the top of Summer 2018, Ty reassured Zane Lowe that the project was still coming, although it took longer than he anticipated in the interview. “Next month I’m dropping a whole another project with me and my brother Jeremih,” he stated. . “It’s nothing but smashes. We did it with my bro Hitmaka. He produced the whole shit, so it’s like a consistent album of bangers. I promise you, we probably did like tops… eight sessions, maybe less than that. And we got like 60 songs, and we had to choose like 13-14. So there’s leftovers from that project that we could probably give away to some of the homies.”
Mih-Ty falls short of the 13-14 song promise with 11 tracks, but we’re not complaining. Featuring appearances from Chris Brown, Wiz Khalifa, and French Montana, Mih-Ty is available on Tidal and Apple Music.
