Tanzanian actress Wema Sepetu says she likes a man who beats her

Tanzanian actress Wema Sepetu has opened up about a trait she likes in a man. And it is just what most other women will never wish for in their relationship – The actress has professed her love for men that beat up women.

While attending her manager Neema Ndepanya’s birthday celebrations in Salasala, Dar es Salam, Wema told Ijumaa Wikienda that she likes a man who would beat her up once in a while when she’s on the wrong.

She said:

“Napenda mwanaume anipe kipigo kidogo siyo mwanaume mnaishi miaka yote, halafu hata kukupiga kofi kidogo hakupigi,” (I like a man who beats me up occasionally, not one I’d to spend several years with without hitting me, even just a slap) she said before breaking into laughter.

Wema Sepetu is one of the most popular celebrities in Tanzania. She is so popular that she has more than 3 million followers on Instagram and her followers span across Africa.

She is a former beauty queen and she has dated high profile men in the country, including popular singer Diamond Platnumz

Apart from Diamond Platnumz, Sepetu dated 2014 Big Brother winner Idris Sultan, Luis Munana, Ommy Dimpoz and the late Steven Kanumba.

Even when Diamond was with Zari, he confessed that it took him quite a long time to get over Sepetu and even when he did he still realized that he will always have a soft spot for the beautiful Miss Tanzania 2006.
