With his much anticipated debut album Free Crack 4 on the way, Lil Bibby continues to warm the streets with new works. After recent single “Sumn” with Blac Youngsta , the Chicago rapper released unpublished “Complicated” in collaboration with Ann Marie this Friday (8).
Co-produced by Lil Bibby and Chase Davis, the track finds Lil Bibby rapping about a woman he has his sights set on, but the woman thinks a relationship would be complicated. “I ain’t tryna fuck and just leave her, nah/If I find one, I’ma keep her/Need a little bitch on the side of me/She can play Bonnie and Clyde with me/Need a little bitch that’ll ride for me/One that’ll never switch sides on me.”
According to Bibby, the song was inspired by one of his favorite R&B songs: Nivea’s “Complicated.” After digging through old records, the rapper said he gave the record to the producer so he could work on it. “[I] had Chase flip it for me, put Ann Marie on the record with me and that’s how ‘Complicated’ was made,” he tells XXL.
