Norwegian songwriting duo Stargate has signed a recording contract with RCA Records. The pair (Tor Erik Hermansen and Mikkel Eriksen) will make their debut on Friday (March 10) with the single “Waterfall,” featuring P!nk and Sia. Producers/writers Hermansen and Erikesn are behind a string of massive hits, from Beyoncé’s “Irreplaceable” to Rihanna’s “Rude Boy,” “Don’t Stop the Music” and “Diamonds,” as well as Selena Gomez’s “Come & Get It” and “Same Old Love,” Fifth Harmony’s “Worth It” and Katy Perry’s “Firework.”
Three snippets of “Waterfall” were posted on Stargate’s Instagram over the past few days, the first featuring Sia singing the chorus over a spare keyboard sound, the second with P!nk doing the honors over a recognizably dancy Diplo-esque dancehall groove, and the third blending their vocals.

It’s fitting that Sia will feature on their first single, since the production duo first hooked up with her to write Rihanna’s 2012 hit “Diamonds” and, according to RCA, it was Sia’s idea to bring P!nk on for the dancehall-style “Waterfall,” which was co-written by Stargate, Sia, Diplo and Jr. Blender.
