Manchester City may be preparing a new deal for Phil Foden.
He is growing tremendously under Pep Guardiola. The footballer would be paid triple what he gets now.
Phil Foden, who is just 20 years old, could soon earn triple what he currently earns at Man City.
The ‘Daily Star’ says that the board’s intention is for him to extend his contract soon. That is in order to stop one of their best players leaving.
The amazing offer is because of how he has been progressing. His current contract runs until 2024 so there is plenty of time still to negotiate, but the club want to make him feel important.
Two seasons ago he started getting into Pep Guardiola’s team. He appeared in 26 matches, starting 10 of them. The following campaign, he made 18 starts and a total of 37 appearances.
He continues to be a vital player for the club, but he is having some off the field issues for England. He was sent home from Iceland after breaking coronavirus rules along with Mason Greenwood.
Man City have him in such high regard because of the coach’s style of play. It is well know that Pep Guardiola likes players who are good on the ball. Pep likes his teams to have plenty of possession and that suits Foden nicely.
