If you’ve been sleeping on Trouble’s Edgewood, it’s never too late for change. The Atlanta rapper previously teamed up with Mike WiLL Made-It to deliver a truly impressive, cohesive, and coldblooded reflection of life in “Edgewood.” Tracks like “Might Not,” “Kesha Dem,” and “Knock It Down” showcased Big Trouble at his sharpest, bringing forth a truly iconic southern vernacular and a rugged sense of authenticity. Throw in some impeccable production from Mike WiLL and it’s no wonder that Edgewood stands among 2018’s best.
Now, Trouble has decided to come through with the double dip. Edgewood (41E Edition) features five brand new songs, including an Offset assisted remix to “Kesha Dem.” While the added songs serve to pad the cohesive pace of the original, they do manage to satiate anyone seeking new vibes from Trouble and Mike WiLL, one of hip-hop’s more underrated partnerships.
