Kacey Musgraves – High Horse mp3 download

Musgraves drops a new song she titled “High Horse.” The song is a follow up to her other songs Butterflies and Space Cowboy. This is a disco song with a sweet bassline that sounds-off to the 1970s.

The lyrics to the track is more country and starts out with a John Wayne reference as Musgraves describes some buzzkill who storms the party like a gun-slinging asshole out to ruin everyone’s night. It’s a genre mashup for the ages and I love it.

Kacey’s last album is the 2015’s Pageant Material and it’s now the body of work that has pushed her out as a pop music star in the making. The album’s follow-up will be out next week and it’s called Golden Hour. Watch out for that.
