American singer Demi Lovato announced Tell Me You Love Me – the upcoming sixth studio album. It is scheduled to be released on September 29, 2017, by Hollywood, Island and Safehouse Records. The body of work follows her fifth album Confident released in 2015.
Its lead single, “Sorry Not Sorry”, was released on July 11, 2017, peaking at number 23 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
Demi announced the title and release date of the album on August 23, 2017 after teasing the album as “coming real soon” during multiple stops on radio interviews.
A black and white video features Lovato singing in the recording studio as it zooms out from her eyeball to show what appears to be album artwork featuring the pop star making a somewhat pouting face and holding her hayrack with her hands. In it, we hear her powerful voice singing, “Tell me you love me, I need someone on days like this I do/ On days like this/ Oh, can you hear my heart say oh oh oh oh oh.”
The new album will likely include Lovato’s single “Sorry Not Sorry,” which she released last month.
Meanwhile, the singer has recently made several high profile announcements of public performances now clearly leading up to her album release, including the VMAs (which she announced just an hour earlier on Wednesday), the national anthem at the much-hyped Mayweather Vs. McGregor boxing match and last weekend performed at Billboard’s Hot 100 Fest.
