An emotional night in Dublin for Rihanna as the Singer while on the European leg of her “ANTI World Tour,” was moved to tears during a performance of “Love the Way You Lie.”
Fan-filmed videos show that she could barely get through some of her lines because of the vulnerable moment. At times, she had to back away from the microphone as her eyes got watery.
Thankfully, Rihanna’s fans came through for her. As she tried to regain composure, the Navy sang along to her Eminem collaboration. Eventually, she pushed through those tears to finish the song and the “ANTI” set.
What a night,” she later wrote on Instagram. “Such an emotional show for me! I feel so lucky to have a team like the #Navy man! I’m blessed!! No matter what I’m on you always snatch me out of it! I’m so grateful to have y’all! #Dublin #ANTIWORLDTOUR.”
She also got a little pick-me-up from UFC fighter Conor McGregor, who was at the show to offer a message of encouragement. “Met @thenotoriousmma #ConorMcGregor backstage last night,” she wrote. “So much heart! Thanks for your kind words!”
The “ANTI World Tour” picks back up on Friday (Jun. 24) at London’s Wembley Stadium and runs through Aug. 18 in Hasselt, Belgium. In September, she will co-headline the Made in America Festival.
