Faye Brookes Would Return To ‘Coronation Street’ “If There Was An Opportunity”

Faye Brookes has said she would return to ‘Coronation Street’ if there was an opportunity to do so.

The ‘Dancing on Ice’ contestant is currently taking part in the latest series of the figure skating programme, but hinted she could reprise her role as Kate Connor in the future.

She told OK! magazine: “My journey at Corrie was open-ended, so that’s possibly something I could go back to and if there was an opportunity, I would.

“Who knows what the future holds!”

Faye starred as Kate for four years on the cobbles, but she filmed her final scenes in July 2019, just two months after her on-screen partner Rana Habeeb (Bhavna Limbachia) died.

After filming her final scenes, Faye admitted she felt “sad to say goodbye” to Weatherfield, but she was “excited” about a new chapter in her career.

She wrote: “Cannot put into words how I felt filming my last few episodes as Kate Connor @coronationstreet But all I can say is that there was a lot of love in the room that day…

“It’s always sad to say goodbye, But when a chapter ends another story begins & I’m so exited about what’s to come … Nevertheless I will miss playing that feisty Connor but I’ll cherish every second spent with my Corrie Family.

“The challenges I faced, the experiences I had, the lessons I learnt, the People I met, the laughs, the hugs & even the tears. All I have to say is Bring it On! See you all on the other side Thank you… Next (sic)”
