Finally, Iyanya is setting the records straight on claims that he is fighting with his Triple MG co-owner, Ubi Franklin.
The drama all started three days ago after the ‘Your Waist’ singer stunned fans on social media with news of his upcoming record label. “I’ll be launching my new label n new album soon,” he wrote, and it wasn’t long before fans worried that he was having issues with Triple MG co-owner, Ubi Franklin.
Not long after, PULSE published an insider report, claiming that Franklin and Iyanya have been at loggerheads over financial issues and running the company. Here’s what the report said:
Financial mismanagement issues are also a huge part of the disagreement. Iyanya and Ubi have long not seen eye to eye over the remittance of booking and appearance fees. According to our source, there have been concerns over Ubi’s handling of the business finances.
Things got worse during and after Ubi’s celebrity wedding to Nollywood actress, Lilian Esoro, in November 2015. It is believed that Iyanya is not in favour of the union, and the effect it has on the business.
Iyanya does not like the wife, and does not support the union”, our source revealed.”
However, Iyanya has shut down the reports in a new Instagram post. “All these are lies,” the singer writes, adding, “I’m not fighting (with) Ubi. His wife is the best woman in the world for him.”
And for emphasis, Iyanya praised Lilian Esoro’s culinary skills. “She is a good woman. She’s a good cook too,” he added, tagging Franklin and Esoro.
And that’s how you shut it down.
Meanwhile, Ubi Franklin has yet to surface on social media or add voice to the conversation.
