Liverpool Identified A Coronavirus Case

Liverpool Have Reportedly Detected A COVID-19 Case.

According to the Austrian newspaper ‘Kronen Zeitung’ and which the agency ‘APA’ noted, Liverpool have detected a coronavirus case within the squad doing their preseason in Salzburg.

Although Liverpool haven’t made any official announcement, the Austrian newspaper ‘Kronen Zeitung’ and the agency ‘APA’ said from official sources on Tuesday that the Reds have detected a coronavirus case within the group that is in Salzburg to carry out preseason.

It’s unknown who the positive COVID-19 case reportedly is, if it is a player or another worker from the club, but for now, the preseason of Klopp’s side will run its course normally and will not be disturbed.

Liverpool are travelling with a strict protocol. The players are put in a bubble apart from the public and sit tests every two or three days. After this positive, the player concerned is in quarantine within the hotel.

Jürgen Klopp’s men precisely travelled to Austria and not France due to fear of spikes there, that in fact has forced the postponement of the Ligue 1 match between Marseille and Saint-Étienne.

The Reds are preparing to play the community shield on 29th August against Arsenal, which will serve as a curtain-raiser ahead of the start of the Premier League on 12th September.
