Piers Morgan And His Sons Have Completed A Mad Dash Back To The UK
The government announced last night that anyone arriving in the UK from France, the Netherlands, Monaco, Malta, Turks & Caicos & Aruba will need to self-isolate for two weeks upon their return.
Piers, 55, and his family had been holidaying in St Tropez with the Good Morning Britain presenter sharing plenty of envy-inducing snaps on Instagram.
But tweeting on Thursday night, Piers labelled himself and his sons Bertie and Spencer “quarantine dodgers” while revealing they had jetted back to Blighty.
In a snap shared on the social media site, the trio can be seen standing in front of an airport departures sign, while wearing face masks.
Spencer also posted a picture of Bertie on the plane, with the words “cheers for ruining it covid, quarantine avoided” across the bottom.
The Morgans had been planning to stay in the South of France for longer, according to the Sun, but cut short their trip when reports that France could be added to the “quarantine list” began circulating.
After the flight, Piers shared his gratitude for the British Airways staff who took care of him on the plane, posting a snap of a note the crew handed him after the plane touched down.
Praising their “exceptionally good service,” he wrote: “Apparently, it’s 20 years since I joined the airline’s Executive Club.
“I rarely fly with anyone else but that’s because the BA staff are great, something the airline’s management needs to understand fast & stop treating them all like dirt.”
Piers’ holiday saw him spend time with family including his sons, wife Celia Walden and daughter Elise and celebrity pals including Joan Collins and Amanda Holden.
Morgan is currently on a summer break from GMB and due to return to the show in September.
