Lekki Shoprite shut down to avoid violence as some people protest against Xenophobia attacks in South Africa.
In a video, residents stormed the mall in reprisal to the ongoing xenophobic attacks on Nigerians but few gained entrance into the mall destroyed items and attacked the officials.
According to reports, 4 Police Trucks with officers are presently at Mall to forestall more violence. We have already seen a peaceful protest by a lady at the surulere shoprite. Things seem to he gradually escalating and it’s only a matter of time before both country governments intervene and restore peace and oorder.

A police van was burnt at Osapa Lekki in the video below. The Nigerian police are guarding the Osapa SHOPRITE and ready with their guns. They are not letting anyone try anything on the property. That’s the police work though.
