Tay K has been sentenced just moments ago to 55 years in Prison for the murder of 21 year old man he robbed during home invasion. On July 19, Tay-K was convicted of murdering 21-year-old Ethan Walker during a home invasion robbery in Mansfield, Texas. The rapper, who was 16 at the time of the crime, was arrested along with six of his accomplices in July 2016 and was subsequently placed on house arrest.
Tay-K began generating buzz with his record “The Race,” in which he rapped about evading law enforcement. During his run from police, Tay-K allegedly shot and killed 23-year-old Mark Saldivar in San Antonio, and carried out a robbery that left a 65-year-old severely injured in Arlington, Texas.
After the verdict, Walker’s father addressed McIntyre’s involvement in his son’s death, saying, “I have tried to live a good life and I know hate is a very negative emotion but right now there are three people I hate. One is the planner, one is the person who pulled the trigger and one is the person who profited off of this and saw this as a career move. Every lyric to ‘The Race’ is stained with my son’s blood. Every ‘free Tay-K’ T-shirt that was ever sold has my son’s blood on it.”
The Tarrant County jury also sentenced Tay-K to 30 years in prison on one count of aggravated robbery and two 13-year prison sentences for the remaining two counts of aggravated robbery related to the home invasion. The sentences will run concurrently.
The Race is officially over for Tay K!
