The Japanese House – Good at Falling (Album download)
The Japanese House releases a brand new album packed with 13 songs titled “Good at Falling“. Finished in studios across Wisconsin, Brussels and Oxford, by Bain, BJ Burton and George Daniel, the end result is “more direct”.
The songwriter explains: “These songs are definitely more direct… the album has a lot more of me in it, so it makes sense”.
The album follows on from critically acclaimed EPs Pools To Bathe In (2015), Clean (2015), Swim Against The Tide (2016) and 2017’s Saw You In A Dream. Good At Falling was produced by Bain herself, BJ Burton (Low, Bon Iver) and George Daniel of label mates The 1975. Before going into the studios in Wisconsin, Brussels and Oxford, Amber recorded demos for each song in her London home.
The new album contains recent singles Lilo and I Saw You In A Dream as well as 11 new tracks. One of them is titled Marika Is Sleeping which is a reference to fellow musician Marika Hackman, who is also Bain’s partner.
