Vote buyers arrested in Osun state.
Few hours after it was reported that two men were arrested with over 600k for vote buying in the ongoing Osun State gubernatorial election, another culprit has been arrested with N116,000 for vote buying.
According to the police, the man identified as Wasiu Adeagbo, is a PDP chieftain and was arrested at Ward 8, Unit 9, Fiwasaye Area of Osogbo, the Osun State capital with the sum of N116,000 found on him.
The tweet confirming his arrest reads;
“Arrest of one Mr Adeagbo Wasiu, a suspected PDP chieftain at Ward 8 Unit 9 Fiwasaye Area of Osogbo. He was apprehended in the act f vote buying and the sum of One Hundred and Sixteen Thousand (116,000) was recovered from him, Investigation is ongoing.”

It was reported that police arrested two men in Iwo Local Government Area of Osun State, for suspected vote buying. According to a statement, the police recovered N604,000 from the suspects, adding that investigation had commenced into the matter.
“Two suspected vote-buyers have been arrested by a team of police personnel on election duty at Iwo Local Government Area of Osun State and the sum of N604,000 recovered from their possession.
The investigation is being intensified,” the statement said.
