Ifunanya was still at asleep when officers attached to B Division broke into their apartment and surrounded everyone in the house with guns 🔫. Looking for what they call ‘YAHOO BOYS’.

They searched the house, found nothing and ordered Ifunanya and four others to enter their Hilux van…. At first, they thought it was a normal thing they experience everyday, police breaking into people’s house, arrest them and threaten them to pay before they are released.

Police officers picking you up walking on the street and force you to write statement.

But this time, the officers from B Division Warri tortured Ifunanya to get information but he couldn’t make it like many Nigerians who passed away through that process.

Ifunanya fainted and was rushed to General hospital and was confirmed Dead by the Doctor.

The police hurriedly arraigned the other people arrested with Ifunanya and charged them for Armed robbery.

This is no movie… The picture shows Ifunanya, who is now lying dried in the mortuary.

The other people are currently in Okere Prison Awaiting DPP advice for a crime they didn’t commit.

For years, the police keep acting with impunity and they always resort to torture and other forms of human rights violation in dealing with civilians. Until the Nigeria Government take a firm and decisive stand on violations of human rights, arbitrary arrest, the unlawful killing of unarmed Nigerians by security personnel will never end.
Dropping a rejoinder to the post on Delta Police officers torturing Nigerians they accused of being ‘yahoo boys’, he wrote;

These young Nigerians were killed by officers in B Division Warri, Delta State led by CSP Aniete Eyoh.

Some shot, some tortured to death and others that survived are in Okere Prison because they couldn’t bail themselves out.

Information received from that end is a bad one and needs urgent attention.

Together with other dedicated, passionate Nigerians, we are working out plans to put an end to these killings.
