Cardi B doesn’t sugarcoat anything if the rapper is having a bad day, she’ll let you know. On Tuesday, August 7, the star, who gave birth to daughter Kulture, nearly five weeks ago, got real about her mental health.
“This postpartum s—t is annoying,” wrote the first-time mom on Instagram Story. “Like I been emotional all f—king day for no reason.”
Last month, the 25-year-old shared an Instagram video of herself celebrating her 10 MTV Video Music Award nominations, but she hid behind the camera. “It’s your girl Cardi B. I wish I could show my face right now, but a bitch looks f—kid up in the game,” she explained at the time. “ My hair’s f—kid up. My eyes are so dark and puffy. Like, I’m wild pale.”
The Love & Hip Hop: New York alum admitted she has been “in a different world” and exhausted. “Let me tell you something,” she said in the clip. “No matter how many books you read or advice I get, ya’ll never be read for mommy mode.”
Cardi B announced she was pulling out of her tour with Bruno Mars on July 26. “I underestimated this whole mommy thing,” she captioned an Instagram post on July 26. “I hope you guys understand. This have been such a hard decision. I want to thank @brunomars for understanding.” The 32-year-old singer responded perfectly: “Most important thing is you and your family’s health. You are absolutely doing the right thing . . . We love you Cardi and will play ‘Bodak Yellow’ every night in your honor.” Cardi B shares Kulture with her husband Offset of the rap trio Migos.
