Rapper Turnt Singer and crooner of the very popular hit song back Buy You A Drank T Pain, is suing Lil Wayne and Young Money Records for unpaid royalties. T Pain contributed a lot of work for “Tha Carter III” which was released back in 2008. Its kind of ironic that the suit would come weeks after the long shelved project T Wayne was finally released.
According to reports T Pain is owed Millions. T Pain produced and wrote the chart topping hit “Got Money”. T Pain’s artist Young Frye also produced “How to Hate”. Pain wants money for his work and his artist work. In documents obtained by TMZ, it’s alleged that T-Pain would be paid in royalties after the release of the project. In its 10 years of being released to the public, the album has gone 3 times platinum in the U.S. alone and “Got Money” was one of the biggest records from the project.
This is not the first time someone has sued in regards to never being paid for “Tha Carter III”. David Banner recently sued Wayne for his work on “La La” and “Pussy Monster” on Tha Carter III. He was later awarded $160,000. Stay tuned has more info comes in we will release it
