Beyoncé and her sister Solange had a great year, both releasing critically acclaimed albums in 2016. This week, Solange announced on social media that Beyonce would interview her for her Interview magazine cover story.
“After interviewing my mother and father for A Seat At The Table, it feels like full circle to have chosen my sister to interview me for @InterviewMag,” Solange posted on Instagram. “Spoke about womanism, growing up in a hair salon, and choosing between ‘I could fall in love’ and ‘No Me Queda Mas’. It is one of my favorites to date.”
“If I Could Fall In Love” and “No Me Queda Mas” are two songs from Tejano music legend Selena. The photo she posted on IG is a portrait that will grace the cover of the magazine. Interview, a magazine founded in 1969 by Andy Warhol, features conversations between the world’s greatest minds and are published with no edits.
With Solange’s A Seat at the Table debuting at the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s 200 chart, she and her sis Bey become one of the few siblings to both have a solo project hit No. 1.
They are definitely in good company, having done something that only the likes of Michael and Janet Jackson, and Master P and his brother Silkk the Shocker have successfully accomplished.
The siblings’ #BlackGirlMagic is even more impressive because the only other pair of siblings to both have an album debut at No. 1 in the same calendar year are Michael and Janet Jackson. Michael’s Invincible and Janet’s All For You both shot to the top of the charts in 2001. Between the two of them, Beyoncé now has six #1’s thanks to Lemonade, and Solange finally has her first with A Seat at the Table.
According to Nielsen Music, ‘Table‘ sold 72,000 equivalent albums in the week ending Oct. 6. Of that sum, 46,000 were traditional album sales, 3,000 in track equivalent album units, and 24,000 in streaming equivalent album units. That latter sum translates to 35.7 million on-demand streams for the album’s songs on streaming services.

Beyonce and Jay Z are known to not respond to gossip or speculations in the media but I guess this time it’s too serious to ignore. The couple just released a statement to Associated Press. Read below
“As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it.
Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family.
The reports of Solange being intoxicated or displaying erratic behavior throughout that evening are simply false. At the end of the day families have problems and we’re no different. We love each other and abov
TMZ has obtained an extended version of the elevator footage which shows Solange continuing her attack on Jay Z for 2 more minutes. I can’t believe Beyonce just stood there and watched as her sister attacked her partner of 12 years…me I don’t think I will let this happen o. You go through me, you don’t touch my man…except you are fighting for me…but even at that sef. Watch the extended version above. The truth is out. For years, Hollywood insiders have whispered about Solange Knowles’s closely guarded secret: bipolar disorder. Beyonce’s younger sister has reportedly controlled her mood disorder with medications. But even after multiple medication adjustments she is still having issues controlling her erratic moods. Earlier this week Solange abruptly cancelled the European dates of her concert tour to remain close to her doctors here in the states
