Skales is prepping for the release his sophomore album “The Never Say Never Guy”. The singer unveils the album art and tracklist to the album.
The 19-track album features Burna Boy, Wande Coal, Timaya, Phyno, PJ Morton (Maroon 5), Rotimi, Lil Kesh, Fifi Cooper, Egar Boi and Davido. The LP comes with three bonus tracks made up of his previously released singles.
Producers on the album include Echo, Egar Boi, KrisBeatz, Young Jonn, Jay Pizzle, Pimpz Beat, Killer Tunez, Mckeezy, Spellz and Young D.
Major Lazer had teamed up with PartyNextDoor and Nicki Minaj, two artists with Caribbean roots, for track “Run Up.” PND sounds ed more energetic singing over Major Lazer’s ebullient production while Minaj rapped that she’s “about to drop an album.”
And now we get the Afrosmash version which tags some of Nigeria’s finest dancehall/afropop music acts.
Adding vocals to the already mega tune are Skales, Yung L and Chopstix (Who is a hit making producer)

‘LuvEh’ is officially the 3rd single to be released by “DJ Spicey“ and it was produced by JayPaul Beatz, popularly known for his work on Ketchup’s Pam Pam and Shaydee’s Smile.
Real names, Ademola Ayeni, “DJ Spicey“ is popular for his wild mixes as the resident DJ at The Place by Papas Club.
Skales unveiled fast-rising singer Santos as the latest signee to his self-owned record label Ohk Entertainment today, April 18, 2017.
The announcement came as a bitter-sweet Instagram post where Skales expressed his love and belief in the young singer’s talent. The singer posted a picture featuring Santos and him in front of what appears to be Skales’ Lekki home with the caption; “In a world where the gifted ones often go unnoticed and most times underappreciated, one can only hope to find someone who would believe in you and your set goals. From day 1, I always knew this guy is an epitome of unrivaled talent. He started out like I did; an ambitious guy with nothing but hopes and aspirations. Had no one to give him a listening ear; just to understand how astounding his talent is. Luckily, I discovered him and the rest is history. I want to assure the world this dude is a force to reckon with.
I can’t begin to express the joy my heart abounds as I unveil to the world; Santos, the latest Ohk Entertainment soldier. His debut single would be out tomorrow, people! I can’t wait for y’all to see why I so much believe in his talent. Anticipate! Watch this space.” he concluded.
Skales established the label in 2014 had unveiled another act; his official disc jockey DJ Spicey as a signee of the label.
DJ Spicey went on to release top-charting singles including ‘Ball Out’ featuring CDQ, Skales and Hakym, ‘Atarodo’ featuring Jumabee and Chocolate City singer Koker and his latest smash hit; ‘Luv Eh’ featuring Mavin Records signee Reekado Banks, his boss Skales and fast-rising singer Ceeza Milli which he released the video a few weeks ago.

Charles Gabriel, popularly known by his stage name, ‘G-Druz’ returns with brand new tune, ‘Slow’ –a collaborative effort with Skales.
G-Druz keeps impressing with is intelligent craft that is now broadening his increasing fan base since he made his official debut into the Nigeria Music Industry in 2015.
The Kogi born G-Druz serves up this attention catchy tune after the release of highly-rated tracks like, ‘Ire’, ‘Sana Wole’, which were released in year 2015.
‘Slow’, a song reviewed to be classy by industry veterans and music pundits was produced, mixed and mastered by one of Africa’s foremost sound engineers –Young D.

For popular singer, Skales, life hasn’t always been bed of roses. Although the singer can now afford the finer things of life, in a chat with Saturday Beats, he revealed his childhood was a very tough one.
Skales said that things were so tough for him while growing up that he used to sleep in a shopping complex with his mother.
“My father left us when I was really young; I do not even know how he looks like. My mother and I used to sleep in a shopping complex at a time. I am talking about during my primary and secondary school days in Kaduna. Then, the only hope for me was music. At some point, I told my mother I wanted to work and support her. I was chased out of school because I did not pay school fees. I had to steal school uniform because mine was bad and I would tell my mother I saved money for it.
Meanwhile, the singer who was rumoured to have fathered a child out of wedlock used the opportunity to deny the claims. In his words, he said that he does not have a baby mama and does not plan on having a child till he is married.
He hinted that he plans to get married in the next ten years.
He said, “No, I do not have any baby mama. I do not live a reckless life. I am a lover boy, I stick to a woman. But now, I am more focused on how to take my career to the next level. Everybody knows I am a very cool person. I just wake up and see stories I do not know about. There was a time I woke up and heard that a lady was pregnant for me. But the person did not show herself even when we sent out messages to the source.”
