Here is The Marías – CINEMA album (download) with Mp3 full zip [320kbps]. The new LP is the latest music effort by the indie pop music duo.
“Each song is its own individual scene in its own individual world.” Listing 13 tracks, “I wanted the sense to be fairly warm and luscious, [where] there is not much distance between the songs and your eardrum,” Josh Conway, producer and drummer of The Marías, who also shares vocal duties, affirms. “Both María and I really love songs that have that sort of sonic intimacy.”
Film is what got Conway and María (who goes by her first name only) to begin writing music professionally in 2017 and what took their bond to the next level. “Not only did that teach us to write songs together fairly quickly, it taught us how to think like filmmakers,” María said in a press release. On Cinema, their reverence for film luminaries like Pedro Almodovar and Wes Anderson shines through not just in the title of the album, but through the music video for their track “Hush,” which was partly inspired by the two.
Cinema is a gorgeous album that, as described by lead singer María Zardoya, offers listeners a “break away from real life for a while to create some kind of dream world in their heads.”
Born in Puerto Rico and raised in Atlanta, Zardoya left for Los Angeles to launch her music career. The Marías formed in 2015 when Zardoya began dating and making music with Hollywood native Josh Conway. In addition to Zardoya and Conway (the band’s drummer and producer) are guitarist Jesse Perlman and keyboardist Edward James.
