This is the first single from long-time friends and collaborators Pouya and Fat Nick’s sophomore mixtape together, Drop out of School 2.
Nick first previewed his parts of the song in June 2019—when Pouya’s verse most likely hadn’t been recorded yet. A little over a year later, in July 2020, Pou played it during an Instagram live session.
The next month, he and Nick recorded the song’s music video, and later performed it live at the digital Rolling Loud festival in September, revealing its title.
