Premier League Ready To Welcome Back Fans

Fans are ready to be back in the Premier League.

The UK Government announced the tier system on Thursday with areas in tier 1 and tier 2 being allowed fans back. Liverpool and London were announced in tier 2.

Fans will be back very shortly. After the government announcement on Thursday, some teams can start to welcome back spectators from 2nd December.

Teams in London and Liverpool will be allowed fans, which means there are a total of 10 Premier League clubs that can open their grounds again for the first time since March.

In London, Chelsea Tottenham, West Ham, Arsenal, Crystal Palace and Fulham can open their stadiums. As Liverpool is also in tier 2, both them and rivals Everton can have fans.

Elsewhere, Brighton and Southampton could also do so as they are both under tier 2 restrictions.

The first match that could welcome fans is Arsenal’s Europa League tie at home to Rapid Wien on 3rd December, although some Championship fixtures on the 2nd could also see fans.

In the first round of Premier League action, Tottenham v Arsenal, Liverpool v Wolves, Chelsea v Leeds, West Ham v Manchester United and Brighton v Southampton could have 2000 fans.

The cap on tier 2 areas is 2000 fans.
