Terrible news for Barcelona as Gerard Piqué left the field in tears. Pique was injured and unable to put any weight on his leg after Angel Correa fell on his knee and that made it twist completely.
Barcelona’s problems in defence mount. Gerard Pique, Koeman’s main man in defence for Barcelona, had to leave the pitch in tears after Correa fell and landed on his knee.
It was completely accidental but very painful for the Barcelona defender. Correa slipped on the edge of the box and landed on the Barca man’s knee. He had to be helped off the pitch by the medical staff.

Pique left the Wanda Metropolitano pitch in tears. The defender knows that his knee injury could be serious and he could miss several months of action.
The defender was replaced by Sergino Dest. As a result of the problems Barcelona have in defence, De Jong was the player who had to play alongside Lenglet in central defence.
Carles Puyol, Pique’s former teammate at Barca and Spain for so many years, wished him all the best on Twitter.
