The new collaboration arrives just in time for the weekend and we get to see a teaser to the supposed music video to accompany the release. Shawn had hinted on the record back in October after the pair were seen working in the studio.
Mendes dropped his new single “Wonder” months back, while Bieber released “Holy” with Chance The Rapper in September.
During a virtual appearance on the Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp radio show on Tuesday, the 22-year-old “Wonder” singer tip-toed around a question that he and Bieber, 26, may have collaborated on a new song.
After he was asked if he had turned down working with the “Holy” singer last month, Mendes replied, “Is this you trying to get me to confirm that I have a collaboration with Justin Bieber?”
“If I turned one down, that would be insane, considering he’s been one of my favorite artists since I was like nine years old,” he said.
mendes is prepping the release of his album, ‘Wonder’ which is a follow-up to his self-titled third album, which dropped in 2018. In a statement posted across his social media accounts, Mendes explained his inspiration for writing the album to his legion of fans.
“I’ve missed you all so much!” he wrote.
“I know it’s been a really scary year for everyone so I’m sending buckets of love to all of you.” He wrote that it “really feels like a piece of me has been written down on paper and recorded into song. I tried to be as real and as honest as I’ve ever been.
