Sara Evans To Return & Try Again on ‘Dancing With The Stars’

Country Star Sara Evans Would Like To Return & Try Again on 'Dancing With The Stars'

Sara Evans is opening up about the possibility of returning to Dancing With the Stars.

During the third season of the show, in 2006, the 49-year-old singer was forced to withdraw from the competition after she and her now ex-husband were going through a divorce.

Sara had accused Craig Schelske of adultery, drinking, abuse and also revealed that he watched pornography in their house while their daughters, Olivia and Audrey, and son Avery, were around.

She had been partnered with Tony Dovolani on the program and were one of the teams to keep an eye on when Sara made the decision to withdraw just six weeks into the season so she could be with her children.

During a recent appearance on The Talk, Sara expressed her interest in getting a redo on the show, but wasn’t sure if that would be allowed.

“Dancing with the Stars was the most amazing experience of my life. Tony Dovolani was my partner and I had so much fun,” Sara recalled. “I was the only mom on our season. And so, I had three babies, we moved to Beverly Hills together, and you know, just poured my whole life into doing the show. It was so much fun.”

She continued about the situation that forced her to leave: “Unfortunately, I started going through a divorce in the middle of [it] and something traumatic happened…We were set to go do the group dance the next day, and I was going to have to leave the kids and be gone like 15 hours a day and I just couldn’t do that. I knew that the kids needed me.”

Sara added that “it was so sad and I really want to come back. I would love to try it again.”

Carrie Ann Inaba, who is a host on The Talk and judge on DWTS, was in full support of her return.

“We would love that. That would be amazing,” she shared. “Let’s see if we can make that happen maybe one day.”
