Here is Sufjan Stevens – The Ascension album (download) with Mp3 full zip [320kbps]. The new LP is the latest music effort by the alternative music act.
The singer-songwriter ventures back to electronica on this faith-driven epic on his latest body of work. This project is the eighth studio album by singer-songwriter Sufjan Stevens, his first solo LP since 2015’s Carrie & Lowell and his second 2020 release after the collaborative album Aporia with Lowell Brams.
It was announced on June 30, 2020, along with its 12-minute lead single and final track, “America”, which was released alongside “My Rajneesh”, a track cut from Carrie & Lowell that served as the B-side for the vinyl release of “America.”
The majority of the album was recorded with a drum machine and several Prophet synthesizers while Stevens’ more characteristic equipment—acoustic guitars and banjos—were in storage during a move.
In an interview with Spencer Kornhaber for The Atlantic Magazine, in a comparison of The Ascension with his previous works, Stevens stated:
I have changed. I’ve grown old and world-weary. I’m exhausted. I’m disenchanted. I’m a curmudgeon. There’s a lot of criticism on those [early] records; it’s all just hidden behind a facade of joyfulness, but I’m inherently a pessimist… For the first time ever, on The Ascension, I’m being honest about what I feel about the world.
