Juventus To Sign Striker Alvaro Morata

Juventus Are In Talks To Sign Atletico Madrid Striker Alvaro Morata.

According to Fabrizio Romano. The Italian champions have offered Atletico a €10 million loan fee with a €45 million option to buy at the end of the loan.

Atletico are said to be deeply considering the move as they are close to a deal that will see Luis Suares join them of a free transfer from Barcelona.

When Morata moved to the Premier League to join Chelsea, big things were expected of him having impressed at Real Madrid in the 2016/17 campaign. It’s fair to say that the move didn’t work out as planned, as the Spaniard totalled just 24 goals in his 72 matches in all competitions.

His move back to Spain is considered to have got his career back on track, but a record of 22 goals in 62 games is not too dissimilar to what he achieved in England.

The hierarchy at Atletico must believe that they can get more out of ageing Luis Suarez than they can from Morata to consider letting the striker return to Juventus, where he spent two seasons earlier in his career.

It was long thought that Suarez himself would be the man to join Juventus and replace the departed Gonzalo Higuain, who completed a move to MLS side Inter Miami.

However, their interest has since cooled and now, Romano reports that Suarez is ready to leave Barcelona and make the move to Atletico.

What could hold both of the deals up is Roma’s acquisition of Arkadiusz Milik from Napoli. Juventus have already agreed a deal to sign Edin Dzeko from Roma but are being forced to wait as the move for his replacement, Milik, is taking longer than expected.

Therefore, Juventus will need to complete the Dzeko move first before bringing in Morata, which would then allow Suarez to join Atletico.
