“Diamonds” will be the second original solo single from Smith in 2020, following their heartbreak anthem “To Die For” released in February.
Sam’s third album was originally titled To Die For before the COVID-19 crisis took hold. The project has now been on hold for most of the year. Originally titled “To Die For,” Smith wrote in a social media post that the timing and title of the project didn’t “feel right,” while promising that “there will be an album this year.”
