The British Museum Today Released Tickets To Its First Two New Exhibitions To Open Since Lockdown.

Tantra: enlightenment to revolution the first exhibition in the UK to focus on the history of Tantra will open on 24 September.

Safety measures such as reduced capacity, increased cleaning and a one-way route around the shows have been introduced to ensure safety of visitors.

Both blockbuster shows, which were set to open earlier this year, had their openings delayed due to lockdown. They will have extended runs.

The Citi exhibition Arctic: Culture and Climate will open on 22 October. It is the first UK exhibition on the history of the Arctic and its Indigenous Peoples, with a focus on climate change and weather.

Hartwig Fischer, director of the British Museum, said: “Tantra has been the subject of great fascination for centuries and continues to capture people’s imaginations. The Citi exhibition Arctic: culture and climate is a bold and ambitious exhibition that reflects the expanding vision of the British Museum.”
