Britain’s Got Talent Looks For Simon Cowell Replacement.
The producers of Britain’s Got Talent are seeking a replacement for judge Simon Cowell on the reality variety show.
According to the Daily Mirror newspaper the music executive will be unable to partake via satellite link as previously planned.
The X Factor boss broke his back in an electric bicycle accident in California and has had to withdraw from America’s Got Talent recently too.
US entertainment trade website the Hollywood Reporter says the record executive was test-riding his bike at home in Malibu when he fell.
“Simon had a fall from his bike on Saturday afternoon whilst testing his new electric bike in the courtyard at his house in Malibu with his family,” a spokesperson said.
A source said that while it is a bad injury, doctors said he had been very lucky.
The entertainment boss has a six-year-old son, Eric, with his partner Lauren Silverman – and it is understood Eric was with his father at the time.
A spokeswoman for Cowell said: “Simon has broken his back in a number of places in a fall from his bike whilst testing a new electric bike in the courtyard of his home in Malibu with his family.”
She said he was taken to hospital, where he was operated on overnight, adding: “He’s under observation and is doing fine.”
The music executive was reportedly seeking to return to work again as normal.
