J.C. Chandor In Talks To Direct ‘Spider-Man’ Spinoff ‘Kraven The Hunter.

Triple Frontier helmer J.C. Chandor has reportedly entered into negotiations with Sony to direct the Spider-Man spin-off ‘Kraven The Hunter’.

The film will focus on the notorious antihero known as Sergei Kravinoff. Kraven the Hunter is also the half-brother of the disguise master called Chameleon.

Richard Wenk (‘The Equalizer’), Art Marcum and Matt Holloway will pen the screenplay which sees Matt Tolmach and Avi Arad producing.

It’s all go at Sony in regards to building out the Spider-verse. This week it was confirmed that Olivia Wilde will also be directing a female-centric ‘Spider-Man‘ spin-off project for the studio.

Debuting in 1964 as an adversary to the superhero Spider-Man, he has since endured as one of web-slinger’s most common foes.

Kraven is a renowned big-game hunter who aims to kill Spider-Man to prove himself as the world’s greatest hunter, but maintains a code of honour and justice, treating his adversaries as equals. He is also one of the founding members of the supervillain team, the Sinister Six.

Chandor last directing project was Netflix 2019 action flick ‘Triple Frontier’ which starred Ben Affleck, Oscar Isaac, Charlie Hunnam, Garrett Hedlund, and Pedro Pascal as former U.S. soldiers who plot and execute a heist in South America.

His other credits include thriller ‘Margin Call’, crime thriller ‘A Most Violent Year’ and survival drama ‘All Is Lost’.
