b7 features production and writing from DJ Camper, Hit-Boy, and the late LaShawn Daniels, among others. “Because this was such a personal project for me, I wanted to make sure the music was right and the best for me—and it took a minute,” Brandy said in a statement on the album. “I was trying to find my sound… and get to a place where I could express myself as honestly as I could creatively.”
The R&B veteran gives her most personal project to date with 15 tracks lead by her mother ode “Baby Mama” featuring Chance The Rapper. Other guests on the project include her 18-year daughter Sy’rai (“High Heels”) and Daniel Caesar (“Love Again”).
