Real Madrid’s Thibaut Courtois named The Best Goalkeeper In Europe
Courtois Is Officially The Best Goalkeeper In Europe. After the match against Espanyol, Courtois is now the European goalkeeper who has the most clean sheets. He is tied with Neuer, but with four games less.
Real Madrid are confident with Courtois (28) despite the doubts he caused earlier in the season. The Belgian responded in all the occasions in which Espanyol threatened the triumph of his team, that ended up winning and giving a giant step towards the title.
Thus, with the 0-1 in the RCDE Stadium, Courtois already has 15 clean sheets of the 29 that has played. This is the best run of the five major leagues in Europe.
Neuer has also gone 15 games without conceding a goal, but the Bundesliga has already ended and Courtois still has six more rounds to go.
The Real Madrid goalkeeper will fight with Atletico’s Jan Oblak, another of the world’s best, to win the Zamora. The Belgian wants to take the trophy he already won when he played for Atleti in 2013 and 2014,
The Slovakian (18 goals conceded in 29 matches this term) has won the trophy in the last four seasons, but Courtois is leading the way. He could also be the first Real Madrid Zamora since Casillas won the 2007/08 campaign.
