Brooklyn Nine-Nine Actor Craig Robinson Joins Michael Bay’s Pandemic Thriller. You’ll know him from comedies The Office US, Hot Tub Time Machine and Pineapple Express, but Craig is now mixing it up with a pandemic movie produced by Michael Bay.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Adam Mason is on directing duties for this one (titled Songbird), who co-wrote the screenplay with Simon Boyes.

Prison Break’s Peter Stormare, Demi Moore and BlacKkKlansman star Paul Walter Hauser have been cast alongside Robinson in leading roles. Songbird will take place two years in the future during pandemic lockdown, and follows the fledgling love story between motorbike courier Nico (who’s immune from the virus) and Sara, a young artist.

“To be with the one he loves, our hero must overcome martial law, murderous vigilantes and a powerful, well connected family, helmed by a matriarch (Piper Griffin, played by Moore) who will stop at nothing to protect her family and maintain her way of life.”

The filmmakers are hoping to kick off production in Los Angeles next month, and plan on using “innovative techniques” while the real-world quarantine continues.

Something tells us this won’t be the only pandemic-inspired movie in the works right now.
