Katie Dey drops new song, “Dancing” from her upcoming album, Mydata.
Here is Katie Dey – Dancing (download). The song has just been released with Mp3 streaming [320kbps]. The new track is the latest record from the Australian bedroom pop music artist.
Katie has also announced her fourth album, mydata, and shared its lead single, “dancing” (via The FADER). Dey has also released a 3D video for “dancing,” which was made by Black Dresses’ Devi McCallion using the online virtual world Second Life.
In a statement, Dey wrote that mydata is “explicitly about an internet relationship, which can be precisely as meaningful as a relationship that’s physical… So much of my life is just on the internet. So many private, intimate moments. You can download this enormous chat log you have with someone, and it will be like 20MB. But that’s not where the relationship is. That’s not where it’s contained.”
