London based production/DJ collective The Busy Twist release a new song titled Ya Yo featuring Tres. Available for download and streaming, their latest collaboration with Congolese singer/songwriter Tres AKA Kinsasha Boy, as the pairing eye an album drop and tour later this year.

Their new single is the second offering from the project and sees them entering a more commercial space with the groovy melodic Afrobeats track. This follows their first track Etali Nga Te’ which dropped late 2019.

Boasting some chilled synth stabs, a minimally hypnotic beat full of rhythm and colour and Tres’ distinctive and enchanting vocals, this club-ready track is geared up for radio and comes with accompanying late-night inspired music video.

Ya Yo translates to For You’ and is a love song which draws inspiration from an old Congolese proverb “Bolingo Eza lokalo mbeli osali erreur ozoki” which means love is like a knife, be careful where you are holding it’. In it Tres laments the struggles of finding a balance between the love of your work life and that of your personal relationships.
