A hotel has opened which bans men, only allowing women aged 14 and over to book in for a break. The Som Dona Hotel in Porto Cristo, Majorca, is reported to be the first hotel of its kind in Spain. The 39-room boutique hotel sells itself as “a new space for women who are looking to disconnect from the stress of daily life”, reports The Mirror .
The hotel features a beach-style pool with bali beds for poolside relaxation, a wellness centre where guests can indulge in a wide array of treatments, and a bar/restaurant serving up local fare dubbed ‘flexitarian gastronomy’. Other highlights include a rooftop terrace, a lounge, a library and free Wi-Fi while the rooms have large beds, ensuite bathrooms, contemporary design and sleek furniture.
