NoCap drops Ghetto Angels Remix featuring Lil Durk & Jagged Edge. Made available for download and streaming, this updated version gets a verse from music vets Jagged Edge and rapper Lil Durk. The original version was released in March of this year. It also had a music video to it.
The track is also off his album Backend Child. In the “Ghetto Angels” video, NoCap and his crew begin the video singing an a cappella version of the song like a gun-wielding hood choir.
Lyrically, NoCap is candid, sounding like he’s on the brink of a breakdown, reflecting on his lost ones behind heart-rending bars: the faith-questioning, “Why do I always question God but I never pray,” and the guilt-ridden “Soon as I got rich, soon as I got famous.”
