GRACEY debuts on our platform with her new Imposter Syndrome (EP). Available for download and streaming, the 21-year-old songwriter is ready to share her first ever body of music – the ‘Imposter Syndrome’ EP which includes both previously released tracks and brand new ones to go alongside them.

The title is inspired by her background as a songwriter (despite being only 21 years old, GRACEY is already an in-demand songwriter who has written for some of the biggest names in pop) and the fears and anxieties that come with bearing your soul with the world.

On releasing her debut EP, GRACEY says – “To me, this EP is about firsts – first love, first break up, first heart ache. Releasing these songs has also my first experience with stepping out from behind the scenes as a songwriter for other artists, to actually being the artist myself, and I’ve found this has been surprisingly overwhelming for me – that’s how I discovered Imposter Syndrome. It’s this constant feeling of not being worthy, right for a room or the position you’re in.

When I write for other people, I found comfort in the fact my words are faced by someone else, removing it from me slightly. At the time I wrote them, these songs to me were a means of venting my thoughts and finding closure in the situation, but I never considered how exposing it would feel to have these thoughts aired out in the world. As exciting as releasing my own music has been for me, It’s definitely been a hard transition, constantly turning my brain off from these feelings of being a fraud, but I find do solidarity in the fact that it’s something a lot of people – especially young women struggle with and that’s really what inspired the title.”
