Fat Joe just released his new song “Yes” featuring Cardi B and Anuel AA. Available for download and streaming the new song is the latest collaboration between cardi and joe. Cardi and Fat Joe had announced the release via Instagram on Thursday afternoon, just hours before it hit streaming services.
“This song is soo fireeeeeee 🔥,” the Invasion of Privacy rapper wrote in a post that unveiled the single’s cover art.
“YES” was produced by the production and songwriting duo Cool & Dre. The former confirmed the new record was an official single off Joe’s upcoming Family Ties album.
“This one is special, you know what I’m sayin? Puff Daddy told me and Cool way back in the day that every hit record has a story,” Dre said in a series of Instagram stories. “And geeze … let’s just put it this way: This one was months in the making, but it was worth the wait … I think y’all really gonna fuck with it.
Fat Joe’s last album was 2017’s Plata O Plomowith Remy Ma. The pair are currently facing a lawsuit, along with French Montana, over a copyright dispute for the song “All the Way Up.” His next record, titled Family Ties, is supposedly due later this year, and he shared a track titled “Pullin’” with Dre and Lil Wayne earlier this summer.
Cardi B recently won the best hip-hop video award for her track “Money” at MTV’s Video Music Awards, while Anuel AA has raced to the top of Billboard’s Latin charts for “China,” his track with Daddy Yankee, J Balvin, Ozuna, and Karol G.
