Andy Mineo comes through with his Work in Progress (Album). Available for download and streaming, the new record is listing 22 tracks. In a 2019 interview with RESPECT Magazine, the Christian rap/hip-hop artist, Andy Mineo described Work In Progress:
This project is called Work In Progress and it’s basically a mixtape podcast hybrid. So these records have been sitting around on my hard drive for like a year to years. Some even date back to 2014 but they’re records that never came out for various reasons. We just wanted to use this year to get myself back into the music and recording process. I just came out with the idea of including the podcast to describe the full journey of this process.
On the first episode of “The Work In Progress Podcast” Andy, along with his co-host and manager Del Mustafa, discusses the creative process behind “Keepin It Movin” and self-limiting systems with guest, Ace Harris (Director of A&R, Reach Records). Andy proposes the notion that limitations help foster creativity and the team shares some of their own “limiting systems.”
