Friendly Fires release a new album titled Inflorescent. Available for download and streaming, the new project lists 11 tracks. the new album arries after eight years when they dropped Pala.
They’ve described this new body of work as ‘do or die’, and the three lead singles saw them take their dance-infused sound to its logical conclusion, low on wordy choruses and high on hip-shaking beats. Following their hiatus, longtime friends and bandmates Ed Macfarlane, Edd Gibson, and Jack Savidge reconvened in Macfarlane’s parents’ garage at the end of 2017 to begin working on the album.
Alongside producers Mark Ralph, James Ford and Disclosure, Friendly Fires spent the last eighteen months working on their long-waited third album. The band is also prepping for their Glastonbury appearance this Sunday, 30 June on the John Peen Stage.
