Jpegmafia has released a new song titled Jesus Forgive Me, I Am a Thot. On this track, he dabbles in his usual spastic production, inserting glitchy noises over some beautiful piano chords. His rapping starts off mellow, but halfway through the first verse, he’s shouting while the beat self-destructs. The song reverts back to mellow territory for the chorus, where JPEG starts bursting out melodic lines like a damn Backstreet Boy.
The song also arrives with amusic video which you can watch below.. In the video’s description, he seems to be teasing more material coming in the future. “THE DISSAPOINTMENT CUMS SOON,” he writes. “Just a taste before i waste u. sorry!”
“I hiked five fucking hours for this shoot. Five. Fucking. Hours. If anybody doesn’t like it, then fuck you. I hiked five hours. I don’t care,” Jpegmafia tells Billboard. “It’s beautiful, it’s elegant, and it doesn’t have to force you into keeping your attention. I just wanted something that was able to be suspenseful without forcing it.”
He adds, “This video is just me existing. I wanted you to be moved by what’s going on.”
