Cardi B & City Girls sued for Millions!!! Famous music producer/writer Rico Luv wrote the song City Girls and Cardi B sampled for their hit “Twerk”. Representatives from Choppa and the producer of “Choppa Style” DJ JMK claim they have not been paid one penny since the song has been released.
JMK is saying he should have been compensated for the use of his beat but never received any money despite people making big hits from the track. Some of those people include Cardi B and City Girls, who used the track for their song “Twerk,” Yo Gotti, and more.
DJ JMK noted that all the rappers he named have “misappropriated many of the recognizable and key protected elements” of the beat he made, and he is suing them for copyright infringement.
