Kid Cudi comes through with a his latest track, Erase Me (Steve Aoki Remix). On Saturday, Kid Cudi headlined Southern California’s Hard Summer Music Festival. After performing approximately one minute of his 2010 hit, “Erase Me,” Cudi ditched the original version and premiered yet another Aoki dance mix.
The Man on the Moon explained to the crowd that this remix will be featured in the upcoming film, Bill & Ted Face the Music, in which he will also star. While Kid Cudi has been performing and teasing new music, he seems to be equally devoted to his acting career.
“What you’re about to hear now, my good friend Steve Aoki, he remixed ‘Erase Me.’ I thought it would be cool to do for this movie I’m shooting, Bill & Ted, so I thought I’d debut it tonight,” Cudi told the frenzied festivalgoers. “It’d only be right for us to lose our fucking minds together for the first time.”
“Erase Me” isn’t the only Man On the Moon, Vol. II cut to receive the remix treatment. Kid Cudi revealed during a fan Q&A on Twitter in June that Jay-Z laid a verse to “Wild’n Cuz I’m Young.”
