Nigerian music sensation Simi comes through with her cover of Beyonce and Wizkid’s latest collaboration Brown Skin Girl. Simi adds her own vibe and lyrics with some Yoruba to the track maintaining the song’s chorus. The song is also accompanied by a video of Simi and her girl gang dancing together and enjoying the song with an infectious, sunny disposition.
“Brown Skin Girl” is a love letter to black girls and women everywhere, reminding them that they are worthy of praise. Much like it did for everyone, it clearly resonated with Simi, and she decided to create her own version, singing words of affirmation to brown skin girls.
