Hit-Boy drops a new single titled No L’s which has Saweetie do her thing on a verse. Hit-Boy has worked with artists including Mariah Carey, Bun B, Wale, Britney Spears, Cyhi the Prynce, Big Sean, Musiq Soulchild, A$AP Rocky, Kanye West, Jay Z, and Nas.
Hit-Boy recently shared that one of his tracks, “Royalty” by Nas featuring RaVaughn, was unreleased for years until it was included on the rapper’s recently delivered Lost Tapes 2 album. “Creatives, Never give up on your ideas no matter how much time goes by,” he wrote.
Saweetie’s is on the female rap stars that has been trending for the past months. Initially, she deferred her rap dreams to achieve a degree in Communications before being discovered at a Downtown Los Angeles Puma event by current manager Max Gousse [Beyoncé, YG, Ty Dolla $ign]. At Artistry Studios, she produced and recorded her 2017 knockout viral smash “ICY GRL.”
It racked up 10 million YouTube views in under three weeks and over 5 million Spotify streams and soared to #1 onMusical.ly. She also earned the early endorsement of gatekeepers such as Vibe, XXL, HipHopDX, and MTV.
